Proteus Advisory is leading a strategic research study commissioned by WESGRO, aimed at mapping the educational ecosystem in the Western Cape and analyzing the effectiveness of public and private investment over the past decade. This study is crucial for shaping future investment strategies in the region.

The Challenge

While significant investments have been made in the Western Cape’s education sector, there is a lack of clear understanding of their return on investment, particularly in terms of educational outcomes and their impact on employment. This uncertainty makes it difficult to attract and direct future investments effectively.

What We Did

Proteus Advisory, in collaboration with Genesis Analytics, conducted a detailed analysis of the Western Cape’s education sector. Our research focused on assessing the effectiveness of past investments and providing WESGRO with data-driven insights to guide future initiatives.

• Mapped the current educational ecosystem, including service providers.

• Produced a comprehensive report with strategic recommendations for WESGRO, including 6 business case studies of low cost high impact investment opportunities.
